IPL Hair Removal

IPL is not the same as laser but it does have its own unique benefits

• Gentler on skin - IPL uses broad spectrum light which is softer than laser making the treatment more 

  comfortable.

• Great for larger areas as each flash covers a large area, meaning more coverage is achieved more quickly

• Great for smaller and more intimate areas (a precision head is used to isolate and direct the flash to the appropriate area).

• Less expensive than laser

• Suitable for most skin types

• Suitable for darker hair and darker blondes

This will vary depending on hair density and hair and skin colour.  Typically 6-8 sessions are required, but this will be confirmed at your consultation.

A patch test will be carried out prior to your treatment.

Results can last up to 18 months and with regular maintenance, these results can last much longer

Before Your Session:

• Shave the area 24 hours before

• Avoid sun exposure & fake tan

• No waxing or plucking for 4 weeks

During the Treatment

• You may feel a warm snap on the skin

• Treatment is quick and minimally painful

• Protective eyewear will be provided

Aftercare

• Mild redness is normal

• Avoid hot showers & sun for 24-48 hours

• Use SPF to protect treated areas

Results

• Choose between an intense programme for faster results or a gentler approach with less skin irritation

• Hair will shed gradually 

• Long term reduction in hair growth
